While ibis is transforming and has recently launched its new WE ARE OPEN brand campaign, the brand makes music its passion and makes it resonate in its hotels to turn them into lively places, where not only music accompany the guests throughout their journey, but also where locals enjoy coming to listen to live gigs !
This new program brings live music experiences to its hotels globally in partnership with Spotify and the Sziget festival. Plus 4 artists performing in 6 key countries thanks to Sony Music UK’s 4th Floor Creative Group. An initiative in alignment with not only its brand values, heritage and previous collaborations with artists and festivals, but with a recognition of the universality of music.
For the second consecutive year, Accor is continuing its partnership, in music, with the Montreux Jazz Festival, from June 28 to July 13. The Group treated its guests, partners and festival-goers to some unforgettable experiences, to the rhythm of several unprecedented events. The event was attended by nearly 250,000 people, who basked in glorious sunshine. Back on this 53rd edition!
The partnership enables us to highlight several of our brands, through unique events. The evidence is plain, with the Group staging 5 exclusive experiences this year: La Terrasse ibis MUSIC, the ALL House of Vinyl, the Orient Express trip and reproduction and the Fairmont World Tour.
The 2019 edition of the Sziget Festival took place from August 7 to 13! The 9 finalists of the contest organised as part of the ibis MUSIC programme were thus able to perform on the Europe Stage, the festival stage sponsored by the brand.
The brand has set up the ibis Open studio at the heart of the festival, a real space for meetings and musical experiences. This place, open to all and directly inspired by the new ibis designs, offered festival-goers the opportunity to discover many activities and participate in a photo competition on social media - on the theme of the recording studio - to gave them the chance to win a night of ultimate comfort at The Loft.
The ibis Mash Machine, meanwhile, gave participants the chance to create and record their own tracks. And that's not all… Different musical games were also run throughout the week, aimed at bringing music fans together for a fun and friendly time. In an ibis Music-themed setting, designed for socializing, guests could sip on chilled drinks in an original F&B concept, inspired by the ibis catering concept: Charlie's Corner.
